Default Checking HID ballast?

I would like to know if anyone is familiar with testing HID ballast with a multimeter. I am positive my on my HID kit that the bulbs arent blown. But i narrowed down a problem to either a stock headlight relay or the HID driver sides ballast. Its a Hella Ballast. Any suggestions?

Replaced relays for wiring harness, still no go on the driver side light. Here is what i done so far:

Switched HID bulb from passanger side to driver side, still no go and vice versa

Switched Relay from passanger side to driver side, still no go

Tried other 12v 30A relays I have lying around, still no go,

Check inline power fuse, as well as under dash fuse, still no go,

I dont here the that "ignitor" noise from the driver side ballast. But I still in the process of checking other little things. I hope its not the ballast, that would just suck.

that would "suck" unfortunately that's what it sound like... osram does have a 1 year warranty i believe, assuming hella used their ballast which i belive is the norm for hella kits.

try switching ballasts from one side to the other... then you've nailed it.

Well i switched the ballast around to the other side, and it worked, but this deducts for sure that the ballast has crapped out on me. What is the best way to go about getting a new one? THanks

warranty if less than 1 year, contact who you purchases from, or hella
but really, i wouldn't bother repairing it, not worth the effort, might have got wet??? splash ok, but even condensation may take them out... esp. the hella, there construction is not as high as phillips imho.

i have installed both, relay went out on hella unit in one week... watch for that... currently have phillips and taiwanese 6k bulbs retrofitted for 9006 AND 9005
