Default checked compression, check it out!!

My car is a b18c1 with us type r pistons.. So i think the compression is 10.8 to 1. My numbers were 200 in all four cylinders.. Does this sound a little low??

If it's 200 across the board then you're cool. The dynamic compression is not related to static compression.

so does that mean its ok that the compression might be a little low as long as its an equal compression in each cylinder? did i make sense..

That compression result is not low for his vehicle. And yes, it's best when the cylinder's compression does not vary much. You can have a maximum variance of 25psi and normal should be around 125-200psi per cylinder according to a service manual at work.

I have been told that anything 200 or over is acceptable.

More important is that the values for each cylnders are equal, or pretty close to it.

200 - 205 - 203 - 199 = OK

220 - 199 - 219 - 221 = Problem in Cylnder #2

i checked it again today when the motor was warm and it did 215 in all four cylinders.. That seems a little better for 10.8 to 1 compression..
