alright, i've been throwing this code for the pass 2 years since i've had my motor. it's a 98 gsr. The code normal throws if i'm in like 5th gear going 90 and letting off the gas. my vtec ingages at 4500. So i let off the gas in vtec. then the code throws. I switched out the vtec switch and it still throws the code. I've even changed my oil pump to a brand new type r oil pump last night. still throws the code. i checked the wires and from what i can see, they look fine. no breaks, nothing. help me if you can guys

 

22 VTP = VTEC Pressure Switch

If it doesnt see enough oil pressure, you will throw the code. Maybe your VTP is faulty.

 

problem solved, it was my VTM, i had a jdm b16 motor before and it didnt have a pressure switch. found out that i had to wire the VTM wire for my VAFC.

 

damn, thats a long time to find out you haven't had a VTPS wired in...

 

yea, it didnt bother me much cause i dont race my **** often. it only turned like 90 and up. but i wished i fixed it a while back cause it pulls hard as hell when vtec pops now.
