it's almost gotta be my distributor right? is it just a bad connection or is there one particular thing in the distributor that is going bad
i would start with the simple and try to pinpoint which cylinder is misfiring.
check: spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, distributor timing, fuel injectors, injector harnesses, fuel filter, fuel pressure, fuel pump, cylinder compression, map, ecu, etc.

i'm runnin a ls fuel pump with it now and it's a gsr motor but i talked to some people and they said that the fuel pump shouldn't affect it that much but i think i'm still gonna get the walbro 255
anymore input?
Again, as the previous post asks, how did you come to the conclusion it's misfiring, and what are the symptoms you're experiencing?

if you're rollin along, let's say 2500 rpms in 5th, you give it full throttle and it starts to almost stutter before it can get goin and even when it's goin it runs very rough. also one of my distributor plugs comes lose sometimes and it gets worse that is why i said it was my distributor but if i just get new spark plug wires will it fix it? i looked inside the plug and it appears ok but i'm still not sure.

What's loose? Which distributor plug? The wiring harness or one of the secondary (spark plug) wires? If its a loose terminal in the distributor cap, that's a pretty good reason to replace the cap (& rotor while you're at it). If the terminal on the end of a spark plug wire is coming off, then get new wires. That's not the same as replacing your distributor.
start by checking you plugs and plug wires. If they are good, check you distibutor cap for cracks, if the electrode in the middle is worn and check your rotor to see if there is a lot of oxydation on it. If everything is ok, check for a bad injector... I doubt it is your fuel pump.
