car wont start after swap
i finished my swap the other day and when i went to start it all the engine did was turn over. there wasnt any spark. i had the msd ignition working before the swap but now it not. i have checked the website for diagrams but the dont seem to help me. does anyone have any pics of there msd connections inside the dizzy. also any other advice of info would really help. its been like 3 day of us playing around with no success. please help

well i had the same problem and it turned out my car was firing wrong so you could check the wires and to which plug they should be firing to. i hope that helps somewhat
you might want to check the resistance in the coil, if you have a multi meter set it in ohms and test the postive and negative side, to make sure your coil is good, if it is then try another ignition module if that doesnt work check your ecu and the wiring from the msd box to the cars coil remember the white wire is negative and red wire is coil postive
i think there is a way but its a honda dealer device, other than that i dont think so, any ignition module from a honda should work i think even a obd 0

lucky me then because i have a d15 sitting up on a shelf in the shop. i guess ill have to snag that off of there
edit: it doesnt have a light but it is the blaster mds coil if that matters. it was working the day we took the engine out of the car

grab the coil from it too, if your module doesnt work put the stock coil and disconnect your msd other wise the msd box will make sure your coil is bad
because the computer sends a signal to your ignition module then it sends the signal to your coil and then the coil distributes the part by means of the rotor
if you have a stock ignition system your coil should not burn , unless the windings inside of it are going bad, then they fail, its the windings inside the coil that go bad, what i want to make sure is that, its not your msd the one that is causing your motor not to fire, but if you used your stock coil and you still run your msd 6a box it will put more stress on the windings and it will cause it to fail sooner, a stock coil cant produce as much voltage as an aftermarket
i have good news and bad news. good is i got the ignition system working good. it sparks like it is supposed to and everything. now i am having a problem with fuel. i am using dsm 450's with a resistor box. the wierd thing is that it isnt getting any voltage through the system. im clueless once again and any help will be appriciated
to help u out, most honda ecus trigger the injector's negative side. the injector's positive side should be constant, and on the same line as the ecu's power line.
is your ecu getting power? does your ecu ground to the cylinder head? check that..
is your engine grounded? check that too.
these are no-start causes that many people including myself had.
you might want to post a new thread for your new problem.
i have mitchell and alldata. i can supply you with any diagrams or schematics if needed
get get that engine purring propah!
