car wont rev past 1k. help!
okay i have a 99 b18c in my 93 eg hatch. after i got dyno tuned friday night i went out to the race spot and as i did a dig run while im in 4th gear at 7k it stopped revving so i then pulled over and started revving my motor and it wont past 3.5-4k rpms. so i drove home, the next day while im driving it suddenly stoped at 1-2k rpms so im basicaly going 0mph and i have been trying to figure out wtf the problem is.
the car starts fine and all battery is brand new from Honda also.
it is not the distrubutor, not my ecu its fine had my tuner check it out, i do not have any check engine light, and the car is not missfiring, so i reallly dont know wtf the problem is if someone can please help me out and lmk what i can do or try , would appreciate it greatly! thank you in advance...

Is the CEL bulb in the cluster still?
Maybe a TPS or Map sensor.
I have also seen engines do this when a rod bearing has been spun.
My buddy's H22 did this. It was fine and then gradually it dropped RPMs until it would no longer crank because the rod welded itself to the crank.

yeah the bulb is still there, and i highly doubt it is the rods i just changed em about 3 months ago and i dont hear anything wierd in the motor lol and im going to check out those 2 sensors when i get home...
We didn't hear a rod knock on my buddy's car either.
And remember, just because you changed the rods recently doesn't mean something cant go wrong.

Lets hope its something simple but you have to look over everything in a case like this.
You gotta ask yourself.. Is it something mechanically stopping the engine from revving or electronically stopping it?

Like i said before. My buddys H22 made the same type of issue when his bearings went.
Pull the filter. Cut it open and inspect. Look for copper colored shavings in the filter media.
When you assemble that thing again call me up and ill get you set up with an accusump because it sounds to me that if the bearings went bad after a fresh rebuild you either didnt get the clearances right or your oiling system has an issue.

a mechanic did the work. and it was something simple SMH i wanted to shoot myself its so embarassing lmfao!
the intake piping sucked up the filter so no air was being sucked it because the filter was loose i guess even tho it was tightened the same day that this happend lol maybe because i have a 70mm TB idk
