My car started early this morning and was reving at 3 - 4 thousand rpm and i went to ajust the throttle when my engine made a loud screech and it shut off then i wouldt start it up again. I returned after work and tried and it made a clicking a noise (starter) such as if the batt wasnt correctly connected. which it was. then it stoped clicking( batt probly died) then we tried to puch start it and it did not want to turn on it made jerks but no crank over. someone please help me. I think its my starter. If not please enliten me.

 

Check the timing belt and make sure its not broke. It could have snapped and jammed everything up.
