Default can not bleed clutch

using regular bleeding methods and trying a mightyvac I can not bleed the clutch. I have zero pedal pressure and cant figure out why. All I did was open up a line at the slave and let the fluid out so I could pull the tranny. Now it will not bleed.

You mean nothing comes out when the bleeder valve is open and you push in the clutch pedal? Check the fluid.

In hindsight, mistake #1. There is no need for this and will inadvertently cause problems, as you see now. In the future, there are 2 bolts that hold the slave cylinder onto the front of the transmission. Remove those to remove the slave cylinder.

For the current issue, make sure to check the fluid and check everywhere else for leaks. Especially where you removed the line.

i mean since putting the tranny back in, closing up all the lines, and filling the master cylider with fluid I can pump away at the pedal and I get no resistance and no fluid moving through the lines.

Yes in hindsight it would have been best to remove the slave but now Im lost. I have never had a problem with bleeding the system before.

You have manually grabbed the pedal and been pumping it to get fluid through the system? Are you pumping it with the cap to the resivoir on or off? And you bleed the system with the valve on the slave cyliner closed, then when you build pressure, you release the air bubbles through there. Sounds like you just not bleeding it right.

sorry for not being clear, I know how to bleed the system but it just wasnt working. So, I took my mightyvac and switched out the lines and used it to pump fluid through the system and it worked.
