This was part of my dearly departed grandfather's (RIP grandaddy) stash of tools I got from his shop awhile back. He did tons of handy work, but mostly worked on small engines for over 15 years during his retirement.
I think it's missing some parts, and may not even work at all. I'll probably just chunk it if it's not worth using for anything. It has a piece on the shaft that looks like it might fit in a spark plug hole. Something to do with measuring cylinder diameter maybe? The dial has the Tecumseh Equipment logo on it.

It looks like it's used to find tdc.

meh, only needed for point-type ignitions. Into the trash it goes...
