Default Caliper query.

Hey guys,

I'm just about to reassemble my calipers after stripping and painting them. The rebuild kit came with a small amount of red grease only. What is this most likely to be for? inner seal?
Also is silicon grease the right stuff to use on the sliders?

Cheers Greg

i used high temp lithium brake grease... it was in an orange container that looks like it was printed in 1978. and the grease is jet black. i would say get some of that. it should only be like 2 or 3 dollars and should be enough grease to last you the rest of your life.
