Default Cable Clutch Problem-

I've got a 91 LS A1 cable tranny going in my CRX with an exedy stage 1 clutch, and fidanza flywheel. I bolted the tranny on the car and I cannot move the clutch arm using all the strength in my arms. So I pulled my tranny back out, and EVERYTHING is fine. The throwout bearing is moving perfectly and everything is correctly installed and nothing is bent or broken. Is it because it is a racing clutch on a cable tranny that the only way to get the clutch to engage/disengage is with a LOT of force from your foot? Is it supposed to be ridiculously hard to push the pressure plate in in a cable clutch?
