Default Bump Stop in Rear schocks

Hey, I have a 94 Civic Si coupe and was wondering if I have to cut my bump stops in the rear shock. It's a 2 inch drop. These are the stock shocks. Also if I do have to cut them how do I remove the dust cover. Thanks

yes, you have to remove the dust cover, which will also mean you have to take the whole spring/shock combo apart

you need a wrench size 12 or 14mm (I forgot the size) and a allen wrench(again forgot the size ) to take the top of the cover off. warning: the stock shock and spring combo is under pressure so I recommend you be carefull taking it apart because it will unsprung from the compression it is under.

I figure out why I coudn't get the covers off. on top of the cover their is some sort of sleeve which was seized on. So it wasn't slidding apart. Thanks for all the help.
