Ok this isn't honda related but it should be similar. My buddy drives a nissan altima and it won't start. He sticks the key in the ignition and he turns it in all the way and the car doesn't start but the lights and heat come on. He jumped it but nothing happened. I'm thinking it's the alternator.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

No just no...the alt isn't even related to the car starting, those cars are COP(coil on plug)thus no distributer. They're not even close to the 5/6 gen civics.

 

ok, I have a 06 SE 3.5 v6 as my D.D. good looking car but are a headache when talking to mechanic related.

I have 3 alternators go wrong on me two won't charge one damage the bearing, but the car started. This sound more like a starter issue (my friend if is v6 is PITA).
