Broken lip on throttle body...Can it be fixed??
Hey guy's, I just picked up a 92 EG Hatchback off of a buddy that has a fully built GSR swap in it, The motor is fully built and just dynoed 219 at the wheels on a mustang dyno "which correct me if I am wrong but that is pretty good for a N/A honda motor right"
I havent had a Honda in awhile "last one was a 89 crx si with a b16 swap with a J1 tranny"
And before I got this EG I had a srt-4 that dynoed 344 hp and 396 ft lb torque, unfortunately someone cut me off and I ran the car into a light pole at 80 mph o nthe expressway
Anyways on to my question...The car has a BBK 70mm throttle body and last night while working on the car I noticed that the "lip" on the throttle body where the silicon coupler attaches for the cold ait intake, part of that "lip" is broken off about 30% around and completely missing "I know it didnt get sucked into the motor"
My main question is this,
1) Is the throttle body repairable if I took it to a machine/wleding shop and had them cut off ALL fo the old "lip" and weld on a new one so that the inlet is a complete circle again
OR
2) should I just buy a new throttle body since this one MAY not be able to be fixed???
If you guys want pictures of what I am talking about I am MORE than willing to go and take pictures of the throttle body itself to show you exactly what I am talking about
Basically the "thin" part IN FRONT of the throttle plate/butterfly is where the piece is broken off, and it's apretty sizeable chunk that is missing...I have it covered now by how I adjusted the silicone coupler so that no unfiltered air gets sucked directly into the throttle body
The thin piece in this pic is what I am talking about

Just really want to know if it is repairable OR if I should just buy a new TB??
Any help would be appreciated guys

Anyone know???
If not I may just end up getting the edelbrock victor X or Skunk 2 throttle body since the BBK one doesnt fit a gsr motor
