Brake question??
I noticed the rubber piece around the piston in the caliper has a crack and it is leaking a little. Do I need to buy a hole new caliper or can I get a new rubber piece. Im not sure of the exact name of it but if it can be provided that would be great.

it is passable to replace. i did it in my tech class. my suggestion would be to take the caliper off the car before u do it though. once u have it off and the brake fluid is out of it all u need to do is stick an air gun in the hole on the back of your caliper and give it a lil shot of air. be VERY careful when u do it because the caliper piston shoots out very fast (keep your fingures out of the way). also make sure u put a twobyfour in the caliper before u do it so u don't ruin the piston or caliper. once the piston is out it's just a mater of pulling of the old one and sliding on the new one. by the way be carful cuz break fluid takes off paint
