Brake lights wont turn off
Heres a quick version of the story.
I took my car in the other day to get a sensor and my tie rods replaced.
I picked up the car and it was working just as expected and can def. feel the new tie rods working.
I get home and everything is good. I drive to school and I back into a spot like always. Few minutes later a classmate tells me my lights are on. I was confused cuz I always make sure my lights are off. I walk out and I see my car sitting dormant like normal. I take another look and see my brake lights are on. Not tail lights, but the brake lights, as if im sitting on the brake. All three.
I pressed in the brakes, make sure it wasnt sticking, tried it in gear and out. Still on. I then located the fuse and pulled it out and they went out. But now I dont have brake lights. So to make sure I didnt kill my battery, I kept it out till the end of class. Popped the fuse back in after class to drive home, brake lights lit right up.
I basically drove home with the brake lights on and when I got home pulled the fuse out again. I am DEFINITELY taking the car back to the shop tomorrow about this issue.
Has anyone had this issue? Or have seen it before, and know a few troubleshooting tips I can try, or any ideas as too why this is happening?

Okay. So I did a bit more research and found the answer to my problem.
Looks like the little plastic thingy that pushes in the trigger when the brake is released, is broken and not pushing the trigger in. Plus the bits of plastic were sitting on my floor mat.
Ill have to drop it off at the shop for another little piece. I hope its cheap.
