Brake help needed desperately...
I've got a 92 Si onto which I installed a Fastbrakes 11" front brake kit. It consists of an aluminum adapter so that you can use your stock Civic knuckles and an Integra GS-R caliper with the supplied 11" rotor. I'm using brand new OEM GS-R pads.
Installation was easy enough, except I noticed that the passenger side rotor would bind up if I tightened everything to spec. I had to loosen the two 12mm bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper bracket to allow the wheel to spin. Since installing the kit, I've also noticed that a portion of the inner diameter of the rotor is not being "swept" despite the pads obviously sitting over that area. The pic below illustrates this. Note the rusty section toward the inside diameter where the rotor isn't being contacted by the pad:

In troubleshooting these issues, I've so far swapped the following items one at a time in trying to isolate the problem. Driver's side caliper bracket... driver's side rotor... second caliper... second set of brake pads. I spoke to Brian Hasty @ Fastbrakes and he thought it sounded like the knuckle was bent and/or the wheel bearing tolerances were shot, but agreed to FedEx me a new adapter bracket just in case. Sounds reasonable enough. FedEx came as promised and I swapped the new adapter bracket on... nada. I inspected the knuckle and, upon determinging it looked fine, had a new Honda wheel bearing pressed in. Came home all excited, threw it on and still had the same problem.
Ok, so maybe my visual inspection of the knuckle left a little to be desired... so today I went to a dismantler's yard and got a knuckle and hub from a 1995 Civic. I figured this HAD to be the fix. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It's still doing the exact same thing it's done since day 1. I don't like driving around knowing that the bolts are looser than they should be.. especially when that's just a band-aid for some other problem.
Can any of you think of something else that might cause this? At this point I've thrown a couple hundred out the window and I'm no closer to fixing the problem than I was when I installed the kit months ago. I'm completely out of ideas and my patience isn't far behind. BEER IS ON ME if we can figure this out together

i can't see the pic but, if it didn't bind with the stock equipment, i think you should return the brakes you got, and maybe invest in a different kit.

yeah get rid of that. get some other kit/manufacturer
fastbrakes is the bestgo ask ANYONE that runs in H1 of the honda-challenge what brake kit they are using.
if they are using an aftermarket one its from brian..
i would contact Brian again he is really helpful and should give you another suggestion.
Here's a few ideas:
The pads may not be perfectly flat agains the rotor until they're worn in a little. They may be off by 1/2mm or so on one side in comparison to the other. I wonder if the mounting point on the LCA is not inline?
Make sure that the caliper subassembly (the part that holds the caliper to the suspension) has the two plugers that are working freely. I did an Accord last weekend and one was binding.
Good luck!

Brian Hasty @ FastBrakes has gone out of his way to help me with this. The design of the kit is solid.. it's my car that has the issue. I'm going to try another caliper this weekend and will take PLENTY of pics should the problem remain. Thank you all for your continued assistance.
