Default blockguard ?

Im about to pick up a b18c1 block and is bore to 81.5mm, hone, decked and hot tank and also they installed a block guard. i dont like block guard cus all the problems might happen so i wanted kno if i can pull the guard off and the sleeve beein ok with no distortions.

It is very unlikely there will not be excessive rebound from the blockguard being pounded in. BUT, if the blockguard can be pulled out with very little effort you should be fine.

No need block guard. just take it out...unless u bore it until 84mm then u might consider a block guard. cheers.
