If you are in the Northeast I would use InlinePro, nice to have a shop that is reputable AND on the same coast as you.

i was just on the fone with inline pro and they are pretty pricey, over 300 dollars more just for sleeving thank golden eagle. Not trynna be cheap but, Im not necessarily on a race budget, more like a backyard budget lol....let me give you a better idea of the setup im running....im going LS Vtec. GT35r turbo, ITR cams and supertech valvetrain, but im not looking to build a 3500 on a race block, just something to hold this setup, it's gonna be a street/occasional strip car.....any ideas or opinions??? thanks

i was just on the fone with them and thier sleeving goes for 1275. I asked how much it would be for sleeving, pistons, rods, and assembly and he told me 3500. Im not bashing them in any way cuz they probably do fantastic work, but im just not on that kind of budget

I had the block drop off by a buddy in Va. They just sleeved it no piston, or balance but they did hot tank it. It was $1159.95 total with shipping. Ive had it in my DD for alittle over a yead and no problems at all.

I think he was taliking about inline pro.

If your going to build the block yourself then yes you will save some cash but if you going to have some one build it then that is the going rate especially for having it sleeved.

I would try Golgden Eagle or laskey racing.

well ive actually decided to not sleeve for right now and just go with pistons, rods, and a block gaurd cuz the most im going for is nothing more than low 400's with a GT35r, not trying to push the limits right now. i'll buy another block later and send it out to laskey racing cuz i've heard good **** about them

Well if it was me i would get it sleeved now since your just going to do it later. Why take the chance with a low 400 whp you might just crack your stock sleeves, and having to take it apart again and redoing it all over again. Get it done the first around just my .2cent.

well i was gonna have it done full out but im gonna need my car soon cuz i can't afford to have it off of the road for like four to seven months. So i figure I take my LS head off now, get rid of it, take the block to this shop in Somers, CT and have a blockgaurd put in and pistons and rods. and have a make shift motor for the time being while i get another ls block and work on that one full out. That way when i pull out the first one, i'll have a back up one for the build one, just in case that one ***** the bed. And I thought blockgaurding served as a strengthing for the stock sleeves, somewhat of an insurance but not as quite as good as sleeving. but my final build should look like this.

Eagle sleeved B18 block
CP Pistons 9.0:1
Eagle rods
Micropolished billet crank
ACL bearings

B16 head
ITR or CTR cams
Golden Eagle Cam gears
Supertech or Manley valvetrain
Port and Polish
Blox or Venom Intake Manifold

Full MSD ignition system
Hondata s300
not sure what wideband

Garrett GT35r A/R .70
Presicion Intercooler
Custom piping
HKS Blow off valve
Tial Wastegate

What do you fellas think i'll be seeing out of this setup on about 15lbs and pump gas???
not sure what size injectors i should go with either

even at 400hp in a stock bored block you are fine just have it tuned and you wont have to worry about crackin a sleeve. I have pushed up to 25 psi on occasion with no problems 15 psi daily driven.

nice....well that's what i've been told by quite a few knowledable ppl, that my turbo will make about 350 off the rip on my bone stock LS block. If this is true then i should be good with a block gaurd for some kind of insurance for my block for the time being until i get my other block put together right??? im not planning on beating the hell out of it, just the occasional fun but nothing serious until the other one is done, and once again thanks guys for all of your help, it's good to get so much feedback from such knowledgable ppl

I found a shop that's only about 20 minutes away from me in Somers, CT. Its called eastwood auto machine, i guess they built Ryan Woods' 9 second D16. Im getting fully built and sleeved for only 2,500 being that i provide pistons and rods. If you guys have any other suggestions, guys let me know cuz i could use the advice thanks
