Default blew my motor

the motor on my 99 ex civic just blew, there is a hole in the block,

the car is auto, my question is is there anything that I will need to swap from the blown motor to the new one, if the new one is from a car that had a manual transmission??

is there any differences between the 99-00 d16y8's and the 96-98?

what kind of problems would I run into if i used a d16Z6?

thanks

the d16z6 is an OBD1 motor, so you will have some wiring to do. i don't think you would have any problems with using an engine that was mated with an autotragic, as long as you salvage your flywheel and flywheel bolts.

sorry, i misread your post. i think it would work either way, though.
