Does anyone know what this box is? Its beside my cam gears on my b18c 92 hatch. It has a black plastic cover on it with a couple of wires coming out of it.. It some lettering on it saying p28... Is this something to do with my ecu?? Thanks for any adivce...

 

I think you are referring to the cruise control box. Does it have a cable going to it from where your accelerator pedal is?

 

Could be VTEC solenoid.

Ya there is a hard cable coming out of the box. There is also a connector on it that you can connect and disconnect. I have a jdm type R wheel so if this has anything to do with the power steering then can I take it ou???

No I don't see it.. I did have the cruise control option in my car though....

 

It would be right by the motor mount. and have vaccum lines running to the intake manifold and a hard cable line running into the fire wall to the gas pedal. If so, you can remove it.

 

Ya the cable does go into my firewall. And it's bolted right next to my engine mount... SO I guess this is the cruise box.. Time to take it out.. Thanks!

 

Have fun with the wire going through the wall.
Be sure to disconnect from the gas pedal.
