Bizare brake problem Please help!!!
I'm working on a friends car and it has this wierd *** brake problem.....brakes are fine at all times...but when you put it in reverse...the pedal hits the floor.
we have bled the the MC, and all four corners...but I suspect a vacuum problem or something...why else would this ONLY happen in reverse???

its not becuse of it not getting enought vacume or you wond have that problem all the time does it have rear discs or drums? if drums check the (cant think of the name its late) thing that pushes the shose aganst the drums for leaks
I don't think it's a vacuum. And air or a leak doesn't seem like it either. All of those would seem consistant if it were the case. I don't know what to say bro. Never heard of that. What kind of car is this? By the way, the thingy that pushes the shoes to the drums is a wheel cylinder.
Did you install a disc/disc master cylinder, or are you still using the same master cylinder from your previous disc/drum setup?

Did you inspect the rear calipers? That's where I'd look first.
what might we look for in them?
Broken seals........leaking fluid (don't think i needed to say that)
Take the pistions out and see if there scared or scratched......(caliper pistons!!!!)
I would check the seals first and if they don't look bad leave it alone until a rebuild kit is purchased.
