Battery Relocation: Charging wire?
I was told by a group of offroaders that I hang out with, that if I was planning on relocating my battery, the "best" setup is to run a wire for the battery (to start and run the car) and to run a seperate wire to charge the battery (from alt. to battery). This way the car is running off of the battery and not the alternator.
Is this true? more importantly, does it make a difference?
being **** as always and aiming for overkill. I ran 0 guage for the battery and 4 gauge from the alt.
I wonder is my ECU will be mad that the alternator is connected directly to the batteyr now? (obd 0)

ok .. well if you placed the battery in the trunk why not just tap off your 2 battery terminals from the engine bay and just route the wire to the trunk instead of dealing with all that other crap? i see no beneficial point.
