my battery light has just been starting to come on. it dims on and off. so I figure my battery has been toasted. I've replaced it with a new Honda battery. and still the battery light comes on. i've got my alternator rebuilt about two years ago. I'm sure its still good. my newest intallation is my deck. but before my deck I had this problem, it just went away, now its back.

specs on my motor:
B16A1
I/H/E
Underdrive pully (crank). (Unorthondox)
bored throttle boddie (65mm)
tuned ECU

anyone have any ideas?

 

alternator is about to die on you, check it with a multimeter

Seen this happen many times before. When the alternator is about to go there could be a multitude of symptoms. I had my radio switch on and off and my speedometer and tachometer stopped working.

Your battery only supplies power to your vehilce's accessories when the car isn't running and to the starter when you turn the key to crank the engine. Usually if you experience any other electrical problems when the car is running, it most likely would involve the alternator.
