bad sensor, code 10?
I have gotten a CODE 10, or Intake Air Temperature code. I am not sure if I should replace the sensor or which one is best to get...because, the catch is, I am using a 97 gs-r harness on a b16a2. Should I get the gs-r sensor, or just replace the b16a2 one....I "think" they should plug into the harness fine.
Also, is the IAT located different on the b16a2, then the 97 b18c1. Could that cause a problem. I was told all the sensors match up easy. Guess I thought wrong ......

The sensor from the B16A2 intake piping should work. Its just located in a different spot for smog purposes. As you can tell, the b16a2 doesnt have it on the Intake manifold like the older b16's
Below are 2 charts that describe the IAT & ECT sensors resistance [with sensor connector unplugged] & voltage [with sensor connector plugged back in, black meter lead to a ground and red lead to the 'input voltage' of the sensor]. If the first time you measure the voltage on the one of the IAT/ECT sensor wires and it reads 0V, then the other wire is what you really want to measure [as the wire previous was the sensor ground].
I would suggest the voltage test first. The sensors input voltage and ground originate at the ECU. So if your reading a good voltage, then obviously the wiring is in check.
Temp F Resistance (ohms)

Well isn't that a b*tch. It [the forum] removed all the spaces I used to seperate the columns...hopefully you can still discern what is what.
