Default b16a distributor issue

so i got a b16a and today after checking the oil i started the car and herd a raddling sound and It deff sounded like it could of been coming from inside the distributor. Car runs great and gets spark to all 4 cylinders.

Question maybe a peice of the rotor broke or something came lose and is sitting in there. So can i just take the plastic cover peice that the spark plugs connect to i cant think of the name of the peice but you know what im saying. well take that peice off and inspect without having to mess with anything??

I've never taken a distributor apart so i want to make sure its not going to throw anything off.

I think your referring to the distributor cap. Yes can can remove the wires and cap and rotor and Inspect things. And it wont mess with your timing or tune if you have one. Also if you need to remove the dizzy it's very easy as well. remove the dizzy plugs and than remove the 3 bolts that bolt the dizzy to the block and it just pulls out. just be careful when removing the dizzy if you do that just make sure you dont make move it to much to throw off your timing.
