Default b16 rebuild...is it worth it?

i have a b16a3 and have the block in the back of my truck to take it into the shop. i talked to Prostreet Imports and they offered to rebuild my block by replacing/repairing all of the following:

-new CTR pistons and rods
-new rings, seals, and all new bearings
-micropolished and balanced crank
-cylinder honing and inspection
-type-r water pump and oil pump

all of this can be done for 950-1050, depending on how much they are willing to work with my funds. my questions are:

---is it worth spending 1000 dollars on a b16a to do all of the preceding?
---has anyone heard or been to prostreet that is willing to vouch for them?
---should i just say F*** it to my b16 and save for a new motor?

give me your opinions guys. i have been/still need to do some serious thinking and i need some input. i dont really have anyone else to get input from.. thanks.

Well what car do you have it in? Del sol? I think its worth it for all that! You can make some good power in a b16. Also, what are your goals with the b16 and what will you be doing......na.....turbo.....supercharger. Its all about that.

the motor is in a 92 civic hatchback that i love to death. if i dont rebuild, then i would probably end up getting rid of it and getting something else. here are my goals and future parts:

-200 crank horsepower, about 175-180 to the wheels by getting the following:
--Skunk2 intake manifold
--head ported and polished with three angle valve job, port matched to manifold
--civic type-r cams with full type-r valvetrain, or skunk2/portflow valves, springs, and retainers
--hondata s100 with tuning
--civic type-r pistons, with all new seals, rings, and bearings, micropolished and balanced crank
--new headers, probably hytech or comptech tri-y

yay or nay to the rebuild. i dont know about prostreet imports or if the price ive been given is worth it.

Im almost 18 and have hit reality. I am now looking to get an ep3 because its new and i dont hvae to swap a motor. If i were you i wouldnt do any huge mods, because as my bro just found out it could be trouble. His motor just blew. He is now getting an ep3. If you have the money to fix it if it blows then do it. If you are on a tight budget i would consider not messing with it cause anything can happen.

my motor did just blow. thats why i want to spend the money now while the motor is down to get it rebui;t the way i want it so that this DOESNT happen again. with a rebuild, i shouldnt have to worry about anything, i.e. no problems. the fact that i dont want anymore problems is the reason for the rebuild.

Ep3's are nice, but imo, they are a little slow stock. not only that but everyone and there brother has one where im from.
