Default b16 problem

i just picked up a 2000 si and she burns oil but mainly when vtec engages. also the vtec doesnt hit like it should you can only tell it hits vtec because you can here it. ive compression tested it and all cylinders were 240 -250 so i know the compression is good. so what im wondering is it in the head?

does it smoke at all??most likely your oil control rings are shot, or you have bad valve seals,to be sure if it is infact your rings or valve seals you should also do a leak down test

Why will a leak-down test tell you if it's oil rings or valve seals?
