i am in the process of rebuilding my transaxle on my b16 hatch. im just curious to know if any body has any tricks, mods, and fancy parts (thats not really present on the internet) on rebuilding a b series transaxle. im looking for a trans axle that accels quite well but how can i build it so it has a really nice shift feel. thanks.

Simply replace all wear parts, bad or worn gears, bearings, synchros and put the correct oil in it.

The main component to smooth shifting is the shift linkage. Honda shift linkages, and mainly b-series, are known to have TONS of slop in them. Aftermarket ones are even worse. The best solution I have seen is to delete (cut out) the stock 'joint' and weld in the U-joint from where the steering column connects to the steering rack. It will make your shifter TIGHT.
