Axle & CV joint out of place...
well, i was trying to change my clutch and tranny, and when i was pulling out the axels, the one from the driver side, the axle seemed to pop out of the CV Joint, i tryed to push it back in but it didnt budge....anyways...am i going to have to get the axle rebuilt??or can is there a way i can push it bck in??should i try to take the boot off from the CV Joint to see if i can fix it???or am i going to have to take it for a rebuilt???thanks in advance
you can pop it back in but its a messy job. start by slipping the boot off to expose the 2 pieces, align the bearings and try to insert it into the joint, its very precise and requires little force, so don't be shy!
Usually ur axles don't come apart like that. To be on the safe side, buy a rebuild from AutoZone for around $49.99, well depending on ur year and model. The CV boots are only there for water and dust protection, and to keep the axle grease from spewing all over the place, and in no way are they designed to hold ur axle together.

yeah i am assuming you pulled on the axle rather then prying it it between the transmission and inner joint housing. You can try slipping the boot back over and pushing the tripod back into place, but i am sure you are going to be unsuccessful with the boot covered in grease. The best thing to do would be to clean and regrease the joint outside of the car and reclamp the boot.
