Default Autometer ShiftLight Problems

i am using AUTOMETER 5" Carbon Fibre ShiftLight Tachometer. A few months ago, everything is running good. But yesterday, it started going up and down like hell when idling. Range 800 - 1100rpm. But this is small matter.
But the main problem is during running time. On 1st gear lamp is on but when going to 2nd gear and above, the light is not on.

Anybody has facing this kind of problems before?

My engine is B16A engine with P30 ECU ( JDM ).

I did hook my green wire to the blue wire coming out from the distributor and did cut and splice the brown wire as per instruction for 8 pulse applications.

Thanks.

i think he means the shift light for the gears.
double check all the wiring. esp the one that feeds rpm info to the tach.
