Auto tranny problems
I'm not sure if this belongs here if not move it. My daily driver which is a 95 ex auto is currently going throught some tranny problems lately it's been slipping like crazy this mean i need a new tranny or what. Lemme know what you guys think
Automatic transmissions are not controlled by the ECU, but rather by the Transmission Control Module (TCM). It will throw codes just like the ECU does, but it blinks the "D" light on the cluster. Is it blinking when you start the car?
Have you had your transmission fluid level checked? Perhaps it needs to be flushed and replaced. Definitely start on the easy stuff first before worrying about getting a new transmission.
