auto to manuel conversions
i have a 2001 prelude w/ a four-speed automatic sportshift....i want to do a manuel conversion because if i were to go F/I the auto tranny would absorb the output of the potential boost of a turbo and on take off auto trannies dont really get a good one...i cant sell my car and i just want a stick...i've heard this is possible but how much damage will this do to my wallet???? and what should i do first?????
Sell the car and buy a manual Prelude if that's what you want.
You're looking at probably $3-4k to do everything right. Even then it is an assload of trouble. Or you might be able to trim $1k off that price and get a used tranny that you have no idea about its condition.
If you're stupid enough to still do it, good luck to you. You'll be kicking yourself in the *** if you actually go through with it.
