Anyone who has done JDM Integra conversion
Iam getting all my front end pieces together but want to make sure Iam have everything. I have already fenders, front bumper, headlights and harness, sidemarkers, headlight seals,t-bar radiator bracket, bumper support,90-93 Integra hood cable, fender brackets. I need the hood and bumper reinforcement but what else am I missing do I need jdm hood lock or any other small misc. peices?????
sounds like you got all your **** in order. but yeah, def need reinforcement and the bar that goes on top of it, idk whAT ITS CALLED. LOL but you DONT need the jdm hood lock, cable is mad long. the ones ive dont i moved the stock latch down and it worked fine. held the hood down nice and tight. GET IT PAINTED TOO. hahah GL w/ the project man.
been a while since I did mines, for the latch - I had the 90-93 latch on there, works pretty nice. I used the upper t-bar for mine's also (left the rest of the radiator support alone), works fine. when you mount the headlights, there's a bit of cutting where the fender-frame goes (to clear the headlights) - you'll see what needs to be cut when you put the headlights on.
With the t-bar suppport did you do it yourself or have it done? Does it work with the headlight brackets also on the usdm part of the support?
basically the usdm t-bar comes off completely, then the jdm t-bar gets welded in its place. the lower usdm radiatior support stays and you use the jdm rebar (crashbar), and the ends of the usdm fender-frame gets notched about 1" IIRC to clear the 1pc headlights. I did mine's myself, but I would have someone weld it in if you do not feel comfortable doing something like that.
