Don't think it's a C like the NSX because the NSX is DOHC and the van is SOHC like the Accord. Hm, not sure.

 

Is that the same engine as the MDX? Both are 3.5s and both are 240hp. Maybe?

 

I think it is the same as the MDX, since the MDX is mad on the same assembly line as the Odyssey, and theyre built on the same platform.

Won't work. Completely different engines. The V6 that came in the Legend, however, I believe is the same series engine as the NSX. That'd be a fun head swap. And with an available 6-speed. . . . .

I could be mistaken, but I believe the V6 that's found in the CL, TL, MDX, & Odyssey are all closely related. In other words, the Type S parts from the CL/TL would be an easy swap onto the Odyssey or MDX. And likewise, the 3.5 liter crank, rods, & pistons would all swap into the CL/TL type S. And with a soon-to-come 6 speed for them . . . a 6-speed 3.5 stroker CL type S w/ comptech headers . . . . 300 bhp . . . .

Been done. According to guys on the Acura TL forum (acura-tl.com) Rick Case Acura in Ft. Lauderdale swaps the 3.5 engine into the TL-S with some mods. I seem to recall talk of 350HP +. They recommend a rebuild of the 5-speed auto box with parts from Level 10. Hmm... a trip to Disney World in the old TL-S with a stop-off at Ft. Lauderdale? Why not?
