Default Any potential problem with leaving MAIN RELAY unplugged??

As the title states, is there any potential problem with leaving the main relay unplugged? reason being is that my main relay is actin up and wont run my fuel pump so i have to unplug it and jump the wires inorder for my pump to run.

why dont you just take apart the main relay and resolder it? its easy
