any damage if idrive for a day with bolt in shift linkage
ive been doing my swap at home and i dont have enough room underneath to pound the bitch pin in the shift linkage. how do you tink it would be to put a bolt in and drive to my work where i can use a lift and get more room to work with?
i think its cuz i have a tiny jack an could only jack it up enough to put it on the bottom rung of the stands. i thought it might mess up the synchros a little. just wanted some reassurance i guess
Just shift carefully and make sure what gear you are in, do not expect the shifter to be tight. Most importantly, do not forget to put the pin in and then later complain about how come your car shifts badly after a swap! Just remember it's there and take it easy on the shifter, don't force it.
