well i just bought a set of skunk2 stage2 cams for my eg6.....i tried to get a price on installing them and thought it was a little pricey...the guy told me to install the cams, springs, and retainers it would be 400...if anybody has gotten a set of cams and valvetrain installed please post the price...am i getting ripped off??

 

your basically doing a timing belt job, so that sounds about right

im in long island and im not sure if that quote was from me or not but that is what i charge. either way just make sure whomever is installing the cams for you is going to do it correct and degree them, not just slap them in like most do.

 

you own a shop on li?...where at?

since i got the cams, im guessing to make them work 100% cam gears is a must?

wow, im in nassau, but the guy i used to go to moved their shop to amittyville.....i dunno if you every heard of it, engine evolution?....would you be able to do something better than 400?, and do you recommend getting cam gears b4 installing them?

 

i will deff recommend getting a set of cam gears so that the cams can be installed properly.
