all d series 92+ civic use same shift linkage?
i am doing a auto to manual swap on my 97 civic ex 2dr....
i got two sets of shift linkages....one off a 94 cx hatch (for sure, i took it off the car myself), and one off of a 96 ek hatch (unsure...got it off someone used).
the two linkages looks different from each other....but they are both from d series motor/trannys....
my question is, do the 92-00 d series civics used the same shift linkage? because they look very different...
please let me know, thanks

i am thinking that they use the same one. if you think about it, swapping a bseries in a civic, you have to use a bseries shift linkage. if that linkage can fit in a 92-95 and it fits in a 96+, it should be the same.
88-91 is all by it's self - 92-00 is the same in the way they work and bolt in but you are right they look different. They are different because the way the EK heat shield sits.
so does that mean that inorder for it to work (w/o rubbing the heat shield) i need to use a EX linkage, or i will be fine with a DX hatch linkage?
