Default AEM Digital Water Temp Sensor help!

I bought a AEM digital water temp sensor and the sensor it self doesnt fit where the oem sensor on the head is. Im running a cheap glowshift water temp gauge and sucks so bought this aem one to replace but im guessing the thread pitches are different from the aem and the thread pitch on the head. Anyone ever install one of these gauges if so how and where? Do i need to buy a t fitting? what are the thread pitches i need to get?

What head? I would not replace the OEM sensor. Find a location like on an adapter for your radiator hose. The sensor is 1/8th NPT from AEM.

Its a b16 head and the cluster temp gauge doesnt work anymore so the oem sensor is no use.. I have a 00' civic si cluster and the temp stopped working a while back thats why i bought a glowshift temp gauge. I really dont want to buy a adapter like that looks tacky IMO but if thats my only route where can i get one?
