Default AEM cam gear necessary for me?

My plan...
Swap in a p&p d16y8 head,cai,headers,exaust, and maybe a pulley kit.

Would this AEM adjustable cam gear be any good for this setup. Im aware that you have to get it tuned, could someone explain that to me. I am a big noob. yes I know. Im just trying to learn here.

And is a aem tru pulley kit provide any noticable gains. thanks.

if u are PNPing ur head u might as well upgrade your cam and valvetrain at the same time....that way u can fully take advantage of the pnp....also cam gear in combination with more aggresive cams and tuning will yield good numbers...i dont think there is much power to be gained with cam gear on stock cam...

thast why a lot of people swear by dohc motors because u can adjust the IN. and EX. cams seperately.

as far as the pulley kit i really cant say i have not tried them....people that dont have em always talk **** about em but people who have them always say that they are fine..
