advantages of obd1?
i searched a few times. dident have much luck. if u have anylinks ill do my own research but if u just want to give information that is fine also. I have a 96 prelude and i was told to buy a 94-95 gsr ecu and then convert to obd1 from a harness. I want to know why go troguh the hassle and is it worth the money spent. thanks
I am also wondering if timing is effected in anyway i think the ecu advances or retards it for emissions but this is why im asking everyone.

If your engine is relatively stock, and you want to have it for best emissions and best daily driven fuel economy with no drastic performance in mind, then stick with the oe ecu, if you're planning on doing some mods like an N/A setup or turbo setup then it's worth converting to obd1..
you have many advantages over OBD2 with Obd1 performance wise
You could run all engine managments(hondata, chrome, uberdata etc) off of an Obd 1 system which you cant do with Obd2..
From a Performance perspective this is crucial when trying to make high reliable HP...
Its all up to you and what you're going to do with your car/engine setup...
