Advantage Of Individual ........can't think of what it's called
If each cylinder has its own coil, the coil has more time to recharge before firing again, vs one coil for all for cylinders. This makes a bit more top end power usually, and little bit better fuel economy down low.
what is the easiest way to make an indiv. coil setup, and what kinda oem pieces could you source to make it?
are all motorcycle coils created equal?
also is there another options besides EMS to run it?
like cheaper....
im looking at this more for a fuel economy thing at this moment than a performance modification. not on my honda though.
BTW theres a good thread stickied in FI.

the main advantage is that you can accurately control timing in each cylinder for fine tuning.
at higher rpm i heard that the stock distributor can "spark scatter" causing miss fires or inaccurate ignition timing to the cylinders.
you can get more voltage to each plug with individual coils.
those are the 3 things i can think of.......would you need something like that.........hell no.......the odd pro drag racer or someone who wants to make huge horsepower could probably utilize something like that.......for the average joe its a waste of money.

not sure about your idea but when i used sds i used coil packs and all you ned to do for that setup is a tone ring on the crankshaft to have a general idea of where the piston is at and when to enduce spark.
read here , all the info you need is here and also why it will and wont work
