Default ?

ok, the other day i was drivin home from work...it was raining out..and the cai was suckin in some water....it would bog if i gave it a heavy push on the pedal...so im drivin keepin it at low rpms so the suction was low and a minimal amount of water would be sucked up..all of the sudden the shifter got real hard to move...but i could switch gears...is this related to the water getting sucked into the motor? is this some kinda warning device to not drive the car? because soon as i stopped and let the car idle..it would go back to normal..and its fine now, im jus curious if anyone knows if its some kind warning device to try to tell you not to drive the car anymroe...otherwise i gotta look the tranny over.....

the tranny is a sealed unit and whether or not you sucked up water should have no effect on gear changes. I've never heard of any safety system like that on a honda. if the engine has a problem the CEL light will come on and that is the only safety/warning system i know of. The two are not related.
