Default 98 civic d16 NO power on acceleration loping engine

On my way home yesterday and went to pass someone and started to accelerate and then its like I hit a fuel cut. Then it just got worse missing at all rpm..limped it home .. Checked timing and it was good .. Checked plugs and they were good .. I suspected fuel pump since its been crazy loud last few days but it is feeding fuel to the rail but I haven't actually checked psi .. I did hear a weird washing noise at the fuel rail when I prime the engine.. Could It b plug wires ? Rotor button and cap look good

Your air temp sensor is most likely your problem.

It could be also distributor related.. have you tried checking the distribitur and seeing if the ignition coil is good or if anyhthing is burnt... im still trying to figure my hx's problem it does kind of the same thing but not as bad.

well i knew i was getting spark and knew the timing was good so only other thing is fuel and i knew i was getting fuel to the rail so i pulled the rail off with injectors still attached and primed the fuel pump and saw that 2 injectors where spraying a stream and not a mist so

cleaned all the injectors pulled gas tank out cleaned inside it and replaced fuel filter and pump filter .. all is well ....... had a bunk of gunk in my tank so im guessing that is what clogged it up
