Default 97 cx Totalled? yes or no...

here is my beater, beaten for the last time...
do you recon its totalled or can it be rigged back together?

hit a gate at like 10-15mph, brunt of the impact was on FR wheel. flew in the air and RR wheel hit a curb.. the trailing arm assembly is what is bent in the rear.
No flaming, just honest opinion of how Fct the car is

I'd say it's probably totaled. What's the value on that car, anyway?

for the insurance co. , its totalled; if you want to fix it, it can be done.
you prolly need a new crossmember+ straightening the tower on a frame rig.
If in the rear the crossmember is bent, that can the bought and welded also.
I do think it can never be the same though.

The insurance company will total it for sure. Most likely they will tell you this right away when they come out to look at it without even having to go back to the office and get the pics and paperwork done. On a car that looks like that they will just write it off. If you can buy it back and spend some free time repairing it if you really feel the sentimental value of the car.

It doesn't look like it was in such great shape before the accident... The airbags alone will be close to $2000 to replace. The rear wheel being bent may have caused frame damage, etc. Say bye bye.

I could care less about the bags.. like I said only the trailing arm is bent, the frame is fine, or close enough. The frame in the front isnt that bad, I really should have got a better shot of the fr suspension. I'll try and update the pics tomorrow or the next.

depends on the value of the car.
If the quote to repair it exceeds 40%(?) of the value of the car the insurance company will total it.

It wont be getting fixed by the insurance company, I'll either fix it on my own, or take the check...

the insurance co. is probably going to total it, but from the pix it looks like it could be fixed, just depends on how much the car is worth to you. and how much time you want to put in on fixing it.
