Default 97 Accord - Pressed rotors?

Recently I decided to have some brake work done on my 97 accord lx 2.2. (replace warped rotors, pads, possibly replace calipers) I was told by a mechanic not to attempt the rotors from home and that they were 'pressed' rotors requiring special equipment.

Is this true or is this a job im able to do from home? Ive done calipers and rotors from home before on some domestics and a nissan, is this really different?

Thanks.

The tech said that removing the rotor on my own may damage the wheel bearings without this 'special equipment', does that seem wrong?

i dont think it will damage the wheel bearings but if u dont really know what your doing i would suggest to let the tech do it...the special tool is just a really really big slide hammer..i work at honda and i seen a few techs do them and they seem like they have a hard time even tho they are some big guys..the slide hammer wears them out alot
