Default 95' GSR Cruise Control Question

Hey guys, Ive only had my Teg about a week and the cruise has never worked. When I press the cruise button on the dash the light on the button comes on. Then when I go and press the set button, nothing happens. The light on the dash does not come on and the cruise does not set. I am trying to diagnose this problem since Ill be driving about 300 miles over the next 2 days. There are four wires that go to the two buttons on the steering wheel. I really need to know where those four wires go. Can anyone possibly scan their service manual for me on this section?? Im in need of major help.
Regards

This may not help, but are you pushing the set button too quickly? Sometimes, if I pushed mine too fast and did not hold it in longer, it would not set.

Nope sorry, Ive tried everything from holding it a second to holding it for 5 seconds, to just plain holding it down. No luck, Im thinking of going to the dealer tomorrow morning to see if they can help me. Thanks

Inoperative cruise control is often the result of a brake switch malfunction or brake switch adjustment problem. Even though the brake lights are not on, the brake switch is signaling the cruise control to cancel. Try adjusting the brake switch a little (about a turn in) and test drive for proper cruise control operation.

Thanks for the idea, I will definitly try that. Never passed my mind becuase I just assumed it was an eletrical problem because this car has indiglo gauges, and a stereo and had an alarm. So there are a TON of wires under the dash and I figued someone cut one by accident. I will give this a wirl and see how it goes, thanks for the tip.
