Default 95 Civic EX--Tech Help--Won't keep running

My 95 Civic EX will turn over, but will not keep running. This started after I had put gas into the tank; it just died on the way home. After about 15 minutes of waiting, it finally ran long enough to get home, but on the way there, the gauges bounced and the dash lights dimmed (the headlights did not dim). Put a new fuel filter on=no change. Added 2 quarts of oil, had been dry. Does this model have an oil sensor? Any ideas?

from the little info you gave its sound like it could be a charging system failure. the reason i dont think it is gas related is that the lights dimmed and the gauges moved around. did the battery light go on when this happened becasue the battery light will come on when you are no getting charging voltage and you are running on battery voltage only or close to. I think 13.2 volts volts while running.

No, no battery or engine lights came on at all.
