94 teg ls... Fuel and ECT gauge problems...
i just got a 94 LS and it seems like the Fuel and ECT gauges are off wack.... for example, I just recently topped off my tank, and about 40 miles of driving, the dam needle dropped down to 3/4 already... i'm 100% sure the car isn't running rich because I dont see any black smoke coming out the tail pipe, nor does the car run bad/rough...
also, my dam engine temp gauge seems to be dead and works when it wants to... while idling, it will go up to the normal position, but when I"m driving, the needle drops to COLD.. I also noticed that my heater doesn't blow as hot as in my civic no matter if I put it on REFRESH or RECIRCULATE and at max HEAT....
has anybody else have this problem?? Please help me out.. BTW, I also swapped out the LS gauge cluster for a GSR cluster, and the gauges still are acting the same....

i was going to say that it sounds like maybe you had some indiglo's or something on your gauges that weren't permitting the needles to move... but you say to swapped clusters...... it's possible your fuel level sending unit AND engine coolant temp sensor are bad.. unlikely, but possible. I'd try replaced the coolant temp sensor since it's relatively easy and inexpensive. If that fixes your temp problem then i guess it's time to tear into the fuel tank.
wait, you say the initial 40 miles drops to the level to 3/4.... what happens as you burn up more gas? does the gauge continue to move or what?

actually.. it stays just above 1/2 while i'm driving... so far i've put about 100 miles on the tank already...
